I had been dieting for over 5 years. I tried paleo, keto, Whole30, soy-free, dairy-free, vegetarian diets… if you name the diet, I’ve tried it. I even ran half marathons and started weight training, but despite cutting out foods (until I couldn’t eat much of anything but rice cakes) and all the exercise I was doing, I couldn’t lose weight, and whenever I gained weight, it stayed on.
